Sirius

Overview

Part of our new Evo3 Range, the Sirius is our new entry level device offering a new slimmer design, 22,500 amps of surge protection and a simple bracket system for easy installation. This follows the Evo3 Mira, designed especially for AV installations.

Features

• Polaris X: Sirius, along with all other IsoTek products, features the ‘Polaris X’ system to eliminate cross contamination between components.

• Gating: Sirius also features an Inductive Gating system to ensure each filter operates at maximum performance with any given load. Each socket can be used for any component within a system.

• KERP: Taken from our reference products, Sirius also features a true balanced circuit by way of our Kerchhoffs Equal Resistance Path technique. ‘KERP’ ensures power reaches each socket with the same amount of resistance and power reaches each of the 6 sockets in unison. Most other mains strips on the market use an inferior system where the sockets are wired one after the other with gradually degrading power quality, and sometimes a reduction in voltage at the end of the strip.

• Delta and Shunt Filters: Although the Polaris X, Gating and KERP systems do most of the work, we have included a parallel conditioning network which is in the form of both a Delta and Shunt type arrangement.

• Star Earthed: Sirius’s circuit is also star earthed which is important for most high quality setups.

• Surge Protection: Sirius features a surge protection system. This system is self resetting and will suppress a surge of up to 22,500 amps.

• RFI Reduction: In terms of conditioning power, Sirius will reduce RFI noise by 50db.

• High Quality Wiring: Wired throughout with high quality 18AWG Teflon cable.

Placement

The new Sirius is far smaller than our previous Multi-Way extrusion. The unit is supplied with a simple bracket system for wall mounting behind a rack or cupboard and is supplied with the necessary screws and rawl plugs for a brick wall. If you wish to wall mount the unit it can be placed vertically or horizontally with no ill effect on performance or safety.

Equipment coupling

Sirius has been designed to work ideally with entry level to mid range systems, both Audio and Visual. Sirius can also be used to within an office environment where some protection and conditioning is needed for computer systems.

We recommend the use of our shielded mains cables for optimum performance, although other manufacturers cables will work with our products. Please ensure they are correctly manufactured to relevant safety standards and that they are correctly wired.
