Warranty:
Lyra warranties its cartridges against manufacturing defects for one
year after purchase. Bent or broken cantilevers, or broken styli, are
not covered under warranty nor are other damages caused by abuse or
neglect. Every effort has been made to assure that you are receiving a
perfect cartridge. Every cartridge is inspected in U.S.A. by IMMEDIA.
All warranty or non warranty repairs should be referred to your dealer.
Also, please do not ship cartridges back to IMMEDIA without prior
approval.

Repairs – Upgrades Warranty, Repair and Upgrade
Information:
In case of faulty parts or workmanship, IMMEDIA
will provide for the replacement, repair or rebuilding of the
cartridge at its own discretion. However, if the problem was
clearly the result of an impact between the cartridge’s cantilever
or stylus and another object (like a record or turntable), the
repair and/or rebuild of the cartridge will not be accepted under
warranty and will be billed according to the work involved. The
cause is almost always apparent after studying the cantilever (or
whatever remains attached to the cartridge after it has been
broken) under a microscope. An explanation of the various
non-warranty services offered by IMMEDIA for Lyra phono cartridges
is listed below:
Scenario #1:
1st 120 days of ownership for original
owner When the customer purchases the cartridge,
they should send the warranty card and a copy of the bill of sale
to IMMEDIA who will register that person as the original owner.
Should an accidental "oops" occur to the cartridge (for the
original owner only), such as a broken cantilever, the customer
should call IMMEDIA for an RMA number. They then send back the
broken Lyra cartridge, include a check for 50% of the current list
price plus $23 for shipping- handling-insurance. When received,
and when the payment has cleared the bank, IMMEDIA will send the
customer a new Lyra cartridge of the same model or something
similar if the cartridge has been discontinued in the interim.
Scenario #2:
Second owner and/ or subsequent months or years of ownership.
A "stylus exchange" or "re-tipping" for all Lyra
cartridges actually means exchanging the customer’s
cartridge for a new cartridge at a discounted price. All
exchanges are handled through our network of Authorized Dealers.
IMMEDIA reserves the right to exchange a discontinued cartridge
with a similarly priced current model - at the exchange or rebuild
price for a current model.
Exchange / Upgrade:
All Lyra cartridges qualify for exchange credit
towards any cartridge currently in production. Restrictions apply
to the Olympus and Dorian. Only an original Parnassus can be
traded in towards an Olympus and there is no exchange price for a
Dorian cartridge (which means you can’t exchange a Dorian for a
Dorian). However, a Dorian qualifies for credit towards all other
current production models above the Dorian. Exchange pricing is
available through a Lyra Dealer.
Cartridge Repair:
Repair is a non-warranty adjustment of tuning the
cartridge and/or straightening of a slightly bent cantilever on a
damaged cartridge where it is not necessary to rebuild the
cantilever assembly. However, if the cartridge’s cantilever
assembly or stylus is damaged beyond repairable condition,
determined by IMMEDIA, it defaults to an exchange option.
